Almost all my research and writing projects address young people, constructions of and theorisations on childhoods or in other ways discuss social justice issues in childhoods and circumstances in children’s lives that are in need of improvement.

  • Young people in health-related movements and debates (current research project)
  • International social work and internationalisation of higher education
  • Protective child welfare services/interventions and (un)recognized forms of violence and social injustices in childhoods (PhD dissertation)
  • Theoretical contributions to critical childhood studies, including bridging critical childhood studies with postcolonial feminist theory
  • Child welfare, medicalisation and “evidencing”
  • Themes related to knowledge, politics of life and bio-citizenship
  • Digital ethnography projects, including posthumanist (multispecies)
  • Visual arts and creative modes of knowledge dissemination
