Welcome to my research page
You are about to enter the world of an interdisciplinary scholar whose research, despite many different interests and areas of study, share some important connecting threads: the search for alternative and more equal world(view)s, and usually by focusing on issues and contexts related to children, young people and childhoods/youth.
This “research page” was initially created to showcase the research I do at the intersection of critical childhood studies, postcolonial and feminist theory. However, it is also a platform for all those aspects that usually are not visible in conventional research presentations of “findings”, such as research processes, emergence of ideas, issues of knowledge dissemination and of course teaching! I use this site for creative expression and to develop ideas and I hope the content can inspire others.
International social work and internationalisation of higher education is another passion. I am always open for new international collaborations concerning education, research and internships for my students, so do not hesitate to get in touch!
I am seeking opportunities to supervise PhD candidates and look for international collaborations!
